Accidentally Pregnant with the Brother of my Secret Love Chapter 17 part 2

 Part 2

Yu Li shook his head, putting the troubling matters aside.

Around noon, Yan Sui returned from the library and brought lunch for the three roommates.

"Thank you, Adoptive Father! Adoptive Father, you've worked hard, please sit down and eat." Lin Jiafan quickly took the plastic bags from Yan Sui's hands.

Yan Sui chatted with him for a while, then turned to the lost-in-thought Yu Li.

"Yu Li, it's time to eat. I packed you some sour soup beef."

Yu Li was pulled back from his thoughts.

He went to Lin Jiafan's desk, took his own portion of food, and returned to his desk.

"Why are you wearing so little today?" Yan Sui asked with some puzzlement.

Yu Li was cold-natured, able to tolerate the heat in summer, but not the cold in winter. Whenever the temperature dropped, he would be the first to put on autumn clothes.

Yet today, the three of them were all wearing jackets, but Yu Li was still only in a short-sleeved shirt.

"I don't feel cold," Yu Li said as he unwrapped the takeout box.

"That's strange, Four Er used to be so afraid of the cold before," Lin Jiafan said, walking over to Yu Li's desk and touching his arm, finding that Yu Li's body temperature seemed a bit warmer than his own.

"Four Er, are you running a fever? Let's take your temperature after you finish eating."

Yu Li shook his head, "No, it's not a fever, maybe your hand is just cold."

Yan Sui heard this, and not feeling reassured, took out the thermometer to check Yu Li's temperature.

37.2 degrees Celsius, normal.

He felt the back of Yu Li's head and saw that his complexion was normal, so he felt slightly relieved.

"Okay, hurry up and eat. Oh right, the restaurant recently changed the pickled vegetables, and I almost threw up when I was eating it today."

Lin Jiafan, upon hearing this, deliberately picked out the pickled vegetables from his own pickled fish dish and tasted them, immediately scrunching up his face.

"Ugh, the taste—"

"Right? I don't know how long they've been fermenting, and I even told the boss to put less for you guys."

As Yu Li listened to their conversation, he felt that the sour soup beef in his portion tasted just right.

Perhaps it was because his portion had the least, just one or two slices.

He didn't express any opinion, quietly eating most of it.

-

The weather has been really strange during this period. After the rain that day, the temperature didn't fully drop, and it appeared again with a high of 30 degrees Celsius in a couple of days.

Along with the weather changes, Yu Li's mood also fluctuated.

He became a bit irritable, with poor appetite and unable to eat full meals, and he also tended to feel sleepy, dozing off for up to 12 hours a day.

In just a few days, he had lost a few pounds, and his chin had even become a bit pointed.

One morning, Yan Sui got up early as usual to occupy a seat in the library, but when he came to the washroom, he found Yu Li leaning over the sink, his expression painful as he forcibly held back his voice and vomited out a few mouthfuls of clear water.

Yan Sui was alarmed, quickly closing the door to muffle the sound and asked, "Yu Li, what's wrong?"

Yu Li turned on the faucet, washed his face, and raised his pale little face, saying, "Seems like a bit of a stomach bug."

Yan Sui patted his back, "Let me take you to the infirmary."

Yu Li shook his head, "It's fine, I have some gastritis capsules, I'll just brew some of that to drink."

"Still, you should go have a look."

Yu Li shook his head again, really having no energy to continue talking with him, and after vomiting, he weakly climbed back onto the bed to lie down.

Yan Sui looked at his back, frowning with a very worried expression.

Yu Li managed to sleep a bit more, and when he woke up, he found that Yan Sui hadn't gone to the library, but had instead packed a bowl of millet porridge and placed it on his desk.

Yu Li thanked Yan Sui and sent him the money for the porridge.

After finishing that bowl of millet porridge, the nausea and vomiting sensation seemed to subside a bit.

Yu Li rummaged in the drawer and found the box of gastritis capsules, only to discover that they had expired.

Yu Li: "..."

He sighed, a bit speechless. He rarely got sick, and the few times he had these medicines prepared, he hadn't actually taken them much, so he didn't realize they had expired.

"Yu Li, what's wrong?" Yan Sui looked up and asked.

"The medicine has expired."

"Ah?" Yan Sui was taken aback, then looked at his own medicine cabinet, "I have some stomach medicine here, let me give you some."

"It's fine, I'm much better now, just need to rest a bit more."

Yu Li finished speaking, feeling a bit sleepy again, and climbed onto the bed to lie down.

Yan Sui thought for a moment, then picked up his phone and sent a message to Yan Shiting.

【Brother, can you have Uncle He bring us lunch later? 】

【I miss the food from home, the food at school isn't good. Even the least picky Yu Li can't eat it, he's lost several pounds and even has an upset stomach. Poor thing.jpg】

After a while, Yan Sui finally received his brother's reply:

【Okay.】

At noon, Butler He brought lunch for Yan Sui.

He brought a four-person portion, with a share for each of Yan Sui's three roommates.

Yan Sui and Lin Jiafan carried the several insulated lunch boxes back, excitedly calling out:

"Come, Yu Li, my family sent us lunch today. There's the braised yellow croaker you like."

He opened the lunch boxes, placing the appetizing-looking dishes in front of Yu Li.

None of the dishes were anything but those that Yu Li enjoyed eating.

However, catching a whiff of the faint fishy aroma of the braised yellow croaker, Yu Li deeply furrowed his brows.

Covering his stomach, he turned his head away:

"Ugh—"
