Chapter 13 part 1
The Qin family had an unwritten rule that only applied to Qin Yao - every three months during his heat period, he had to move out on his own. This time was no exception. After Nan Yu left, Alpha returned home to pack his things and carried a bag downstairs.
Nan Yu, who came in from the backyard, saw him with a grave expression on his face. "Did you bring enough suppressants?"
"Enough." Qin Yao pinched the cheeks of little Qin Diandian by the sofa, stood up straight, and slung the bag over his shoulder. "I'll come back home in ten days. Don't come looking for me."
Nan Yu sighed, his brow furrowed. "If anything happens, call us. Don't tough it out."
"I know." Qin Yao smiled.
Little Qin Diandian, who was playing with building blocks on the carpet, looked up. "Brother, are you leaving again?"
"The usual, brother will be back home in ten days." Qin Yao ruffled the little one's hair. "I'll bring you a gift then."
"Okay." Qin Diandian nodded, stood up from the carpet and hugged Qin Yao's legs. "Brother, good luck. Goodbye, brother."
The little one didn't know what her brother was going to do, she only knew that every time he left for those ten days, their fathers and grandfather were all very worried about him, so she was worried too.
Qin Yao looked up at his little father, paused for a few seconds, then slowly said, "Grandfather said today's soup is too spicy."
"What?" Nan Yu showed an incredulous expression, then said decisively, "Impossible, I didn't add any seasonings. How could his nose be so sensitive?"
The successful Qin Yao smiled without a word, his eyes crinkled as he looked at his little father's loosened brow, unaware of causing trouble for his big father, and innocently said, "I also think it's quite light. Wait for big father to come back, you can ask him."
The alpha slowly went to the door to change his shoes, bent down to tie his shoelaces, stood up, and greeted the family members again. "I'm leaving. Grandfather is not home, tell him to rest assured."
Qin Yao left the villa with the bag on his back, went to the underground garage to choose a car and drove away, rushing to the apartment he had bought outside.
This house was not far from the school, but not close to the residential area. It was across the river, and it took four streets to reach the park where he encountered Bai He exercising last time. Because the apartment building was far from the residential area and was a well-equipped single-person apartment, there were very few people who bought houses here. Qin Yao had specifically bought the top floor with a private garden, which was a good choice because the four to five floors below had no residents, so no one would be affected by his pheromones.
Ding—The elevator arrived at the top floor. Qin Yao lazily stepped out of the elevator, then saw a pile of boxes of various sizes stacked outside the elevator, and several movers came out of another elevator and put down another pile of boxes.
Qin Yao had just seen these movers on the first floor, but he didn't expect them to be moving things to the top floor.
The alpha didn't hurry to leave, but leaned against the side and watched for a while, then easily joined the conversation of the movers who were moving things back and forth.
"We don't make much money in this line of work, it's just to make ends meet. Whenever there's a job, we do it." The enthusiastic old mover handed his business card to Qin Yao. "Young man, if you need anything in the future, you can contact us."
Qin Yao took the card and casually asked, "Why haven't I seen the new tenant? Did you help him move the things here first?"
"That young man is busy, he said he still has classes today, so we just helped him send these things here first. But it's already dinner time, I guess he should be off work by now." The old mover said, "That young man is a student at the neighboring Alpha University! A very handsome young man. By the way, I see you're also an alpha?"
Qin Yao nodded with a smile.
"That's great! You two will definitely have common topics to talk about." The old mover patted his hands. "It's good to have a neighbor, you can take care of each other."
Qin Yao responded to the other party's words with a smile, but did not make any further response, watched the movers leave, and the place became quiet. The alpha's face lost the earlier polite smile, expression indifferent, even exuding an icy chill.
Troublesome.
...
Bai He's classes were packed in the afternoon, and at 6:10 pm, he finished the big class and dragged his exhausted body towards the rented house. He had already walked two streets when he suddenly remembered that he had already moved.
It happened in the afternoon. Xia Xiaomiao and Jiang Rong left less than half an hour ago and called to tell him they had found a good place for him - the top floor, a single-person apartment, fully furnished, and close to the school.
Bai He originally wanted to go and see it first before deciding whether to move, but Xia Xiaomiao kept sending him pictures of the apartment and made a phone call.
"Me and Jiang Rong have already inspected it on site! The price is really good here! Because there are few houses for sale, the top floor price is much cheaper! A lot of people want to buy or rent this, Little Bai He, if you keep hesitating, it might be snatched away!"
Xia Xiaomiao talked about the advantages of the house, and Bai He was quickly convinced. Before going to school in the morning, he had contacted the moving company, and they had already packed and shipped the things that needed to be moved, so now he had to go to the new house.
Bai He had some savings from live streaming, not much, and he still wanted to rent a house first, and then consider buying one later. The apartment Xia Xiaomiao found for him was indeed suitable in all aspects.
He took out the address Xia Xiaomiao had sent him, turned around and walked to another street. On the way, he passed several intersections and bought some food.
He had to unpack things in the evening, his own things were not much, mostly books, but it would still take a lot of time to clean up, and he probably wouldn't have time to cook dinner.
And out of personal preference, he didn't really want to eat his own homemade noodles.
