Intensely Captivated Chapter 2

Chapter 2 The Marking in the Wine Cellar

The man crouched down, his features indistinguishable in the darkness. Gu Qinglan looked at those black, enigmatic eyes for a long time, the dark, unfathomable light in them drawing him in.

The man reached out a finger and touched Gu Qinglan's flushed, lush lips, the temperatures matching, the pheromones pulling, as if an electric current had been engraved into his body. The ocean within Gu Qinglan could no longer be suppressed, rising into towering waves.

He wrapped his arms around the man's neck, not caring whether he was human or ghost... He simply could not control himself.

Their faces were just inches apart in the darkness, Gu Qinglan's hot breath caressing the other's face. The man's body was even hotter, his breathing slightly heavier, his eyes deep pools, exuding a clean, restrained aura of alcohol, maddeningly and fatally alluring Gu Qinglan, his soul trembling, wishing to be ruthlessly claimed right now.

"Ghost big brother, please help me..."

The man's hands touched his waist and nape, the peppermint pheromones refreshingly cool, and Gu Qinglan finally couldn't hold back a light sigh, as if his soul had found solace. He pressed his face against the other's face, their lips and teeth making delicate, whispering sounds in the darkness, conjuring up endless fantasies.

Gu Qinglan did not act like a typical passive Omega. Although he was now in a depressed and lost state, it did not affect his initiative. He not only clung to the man, actively seeking kisses, but also actively helped him undress. What was he afraid of, when the other was a ghost?

In the icy coldness of the wine cellar, the ardent embraces could not be dispersed. Their bodies faithfully yearned for each other, in a frenzy of lust. When Gu Qinglan reached out to touch the man's face, wanting to see what this "ghost" looked like, his hand was caught.

His body was now being powerfully controlled by the other, the rich, dense scent of red wine surrounding him like a tangible presence.

Gu Qinglan was high with emotion, his mind in a daze, happily crying out, this cry only inviting deeper invasion. His face burned hot, bowing his head onto the other's thick, solid shoulder, the breath searing a patch of skin.

Gu Qinglan's features were already quite refined, he and his brother both inherited their mother's excellent looks, with an inherent air of asceticism. Although in the darkness his appearance could not be seen clearly, his expression now was spring-like and irresistible - for an Alpha, this was a fatal attraction, the cool peppermint scent only igniting an overwhelming possessiveness.

The man had one arm wrapped around Gu Qinglan's waist, the other circling his arm, embracing him with an irresistible force. Gu Qinglan felt both pain and pleasure, when suddenly a sharp pain in his neck - this was the first time he had been marked. The only feeling was - so pleasurable. At the same time, he was also disoriented, his trembling lips letting out light pants, as if a refreshing numbness was spreading from his bones. Tears welled up in his eyes, finally experiencing the joy of being an Omega.

The raging waves on the sea surface gradually calmed, becoming still. Gu Qinglan panted, eyes closed, feeling the aftershocks rolling through his body.

Perhaps it was the emptiness after the release, making the previously ecstatic Gu Qinglan suddenly attain clarity. Or maybe it was the passionate frenzy that made the inexperienced Gu Qinglan bewildered. His whole body ached, yet he hastily grabbed his clothes and fled, not daring to even glance back at the "ghost" or rather... the person behind him.

Ah... So it was a person after all...

Gu Qinglan sat dejected on the roadside, grabbing his hair in frustration, his gaze blankly fixed on the ants at his feet. His loose shirt was carelessly draped over his trousers, the collar revealing faint hickeys, his swollen lips further drawing attention - one could imagine the frenzy that had taken place. Gu Qinglan buried his head, he could hardly recognize himself anymore. Thinking of those hazy yet intense scenes made his face flush and his heart race.

Forget about the dark wine cellar and that warm man.

Warm? Gu Qinglan shook his head, why did he use that word.

Following the direction of the setting sun and the seagulls, Gu Qinglan felt his neck all the way home, stopping to buy a wrap on the way to relieve the stress.

A week later, back in that same public restroom, swallowing the last pill, Gu Qinglan tidied his suit and touched the hidden, unmarked scent gland on his neck. He shook off the vague image of that man from his mind.

The noisy traffic, the scorching sun overhead, a text from the landlord on his phone: "If you don't pay the rent next month, I won't be able to help you anymore."

Gu Qinglan did not reply, as long as he passed this interview, the rent and his younger brother's tuition would be covered.

In the reception lounge of the AL headquarters, the Alpha pheromones occasionally leaking out made Gu Qinglan slightly short of breath, but he had learned his lesson this time, taking the suppressants in advance to avoid a repeat of last time.

He had passed the written test and physical test, now it was just the final interview left.

"Number 14, Gu Qinglan."

Gu Qinglan rose and headed to the CEO's office, hearing from the previous candidates that it was the CEO himself conducting the interviews.

His facial expression was tense, his eyes blinking, his index finger and thumb gently rubbing. The door opened, Gu Qinglan hurriedly went in. The office was dignified and austere, going around the antique rosewood cabinet, he saw a man focused on the documents at the mahogany desk.

It seemed he hadn't noticed Gu Qinglan's arrival. Gu Qinglan regretted entering so quietly just now. Now how was he supposed to break the silence?

Hmm... Gu Qinglan was naturally very introverted, he was practically retreating all the way back to Inner Mongolia.
