Accidentally Pregnant with the Brother of my Secret Love Chapter 65 extra 8

 **Daily Life 8**

After dinner, on the terrace of the third floor of the villa, Yu Li nestled in Yan Shiting’s arms, eating fruit and listening to Yan Shiting on the phone.

“Alright, I’ll send someone out to help look for him.”

After hanging up the phone, Yu Li raised his hand and fed a grape to Yan Shiting, asking, “What’s the matter?”

Yan Shiting took the grape, peeled it, and fed it back to Yu Li, explaining, “It was Uncle Lu. He said that the child they adopted ran out this afternoon and hasn’t returned home yet.”

Yu Li furrowed his brow and sat up from his embrace. “Then let’s quickly get the security team to help search. Does the child have any distinctive features?”

Now that they were parents too, Yu Li could empathize. If their own child, Yuan Yuan, ran out and didn’t return, he would be equally frantic.

“A boy, about five or six years old, with cochlear implants,” Yan Shiting said as he helped Yu Li to his feet and made sure he had his shoes on properly.

Yu Li nodded. Cochlear implants were quite noticeable due to the external receiver, making it a distinctive feature. He hoped the child would be found soon.

The couple went downstairs together. Just as Yan Shiting was about to ask Butler He to help search for Mr. Lu’s child, the villa door opened gently.

Yuan Yuan, wearing a green frog raincoat, peeked his small head into the living room. Seeing both his dads, his eyes lit up, and he led their dog, Big Yellow, inside.

“Daddy, Big Daddy!”

Yuan Yuan stood by the door, gripping Big Yellow’s leash tightly, a bit embarrassed as he asked, “Daddy, I found a little brother. Can I bring him home?”

“A little brother?” they both asked.

“Outside the bamboo grove,” Yuan Yuan said as he turned to look outside, pulling in a little boy wearing a simple white T-shirt and blue pants.

Yu Li was perplexed. “Where did you find him?”

“I already brought him back.”

The little boy stood around 1.2 meters tall, about five or six years old. The most noticeable feature was the round devices stuck behind both of his ears—the external receivers of cochlear implants.

Yu Li and Yan Shiting exchanged glances.

The child that Mr. Lu and Mr. Xu had adopted had been found. And, coincidentally, Yuan Yuan had brought him home.

Yan Shiting quietly walked to the side and called Mr. Lu.

Yuan Yuan, seeing that both his dads were still silent, started to get nervous. He asked, “I asked the little brother where his home is, but he didn’t answer me.”

“Daddy, can we adopt him? I can share half of my meals with him.”

Seeing Yuan Yuan becoming anxious, Yu Li stepped forward to comfort him. “It’s okay, Daddy and Big Daddy know who his parents are. Big Daddy is already calling them.”

Yu Li then looked at the little boy, who seemed uneasy, and noticed his pale lips and soaked clothes. Yu Li frowned slightly and touched the boy’s forehead—it was burning with fever.

Just as he turned around, Yan Shiting finished his phone call. Yu Li quickly said, “Brother, this child got caught in the rain and has a fever.”

Yan Shiting paused, then immediately called Dr. Xu.

Soon after, they moved the little boy to the guest room, changed him into dry clothes, and tucked him into bed. Yu Li gave him some children’s fever medicine.

Not long after Dr. Xu arrived, Mr. Lu and Mr. Xu came as well. They checked on the boy, who was receiving an IV drip, and thanked Yuan Yuan, who was sitting by his bedside. “Thank you, little Yuan Yuan. Thanks to you, we were able to find Xu Zhi so quickly.”

Mr. Lu and Mr. Xu lived in a villa about a 30-minute drive away, on the hillside. After noticing the boy was missing, they reported it to the police and searched the mountains, never expecting that he would end up near the Yan family estate. It seemed he had taken a detour through the mountains, avoiding the estate’s surveillance cameras.

Yuan Yuan looked up, confused. “Is the little brother your child?”

Mr. Xu nodded. “Yes, he’s our adopted son, named Lu Xu Zhi. By seniority, you should call him little uncle. But since you’re not that far apart in age, you can also call him big brother.”

Lu Xu Zhi’s parents had passed away not long after his birth, and his relatives, disgusted by the fact that he was deaf, had sent him to an orphanage. Mr. Xu and Mr. Lu had adopted him and arranged for his surgery. However, the boy misunderstood, thinking they didn’t want him anymore, and ran away. That’s how he ended up near the Yan family estate after wandering for an entire afternoon.

Yuan Yuan, listening to Mr. Xu’s explanation, looked bewildered. An uncle? Could a child also be an uncle? Weren’t uncles supposed to be like his dads, grown-ups? But hearing that he could also call him big brother, Yuan Yuan felt relieved.

At 8 PM, after finishing his IV drip, Lu Xu Zhi went home with Mr. Lu and Mr. Xu.

Before leaving, he stood in front of Yuan Yuan and made some gestures with his hands.

Mr. Xu translated, “Xu Zhi says thank you and that he’ll come to play with you next time.”

After running away that afternoon, it started raining not long after, and Lu Xu Zhi got caught in the downpour, damaging the external receivers of his cochlear implants. As he sat under the large tree outside the bamboo grove, it wasn’t that he didn’t want to respond to Yuan Yuan; he simply couldn’t hear him.

After Yu Li explained this to Yuan Yuan, the little boy nodded. He then ran up to Lu Xu Zhi, grabbed his hand, and said cheerfully, “Come play with me tomorrow!”

Though Lu Xu Zhi couldn’t hear him, he saw the smile on his new friend’s face and knew he wasn’t saying anything bad, so he nodded.

Yuan Yuan, excited to have a new friend, grinned happily.

Afterward, Mr. Lu and Mr. Xu moved into a villa near the Yan family estate.

Once Lu Xu Zhi’s external receivers were repaired, he kept his promise and came to play with Yuan Yuan every day after his studies. With this big brother around, Yuan Yuan found even more things to do every day.

Children’s imaginations are all quite similar; no matter what they do, they always manage to find fun. They played with toys, dug in the dirt, and took care of the animals together. More than that, Yuan Yuan even started teaching Lu Xu Zhi how to talk. Just like how his elders had taught him to speak, he patiently repeated words for Lu Xu Zhi over and over.

Compared to Lu Xu Zhi, Yuan Yuan was like a little chatterbox. Thanks to his constant chatter and Lu Xu Zhi’s own determination, by the end of the summer, Lu Xu Zhi could clearly call out the names of the people around him, especially Yuan Yuan’s name.

Time passed, and autumn arrived in Y City.

During the National Day holiday, Yan Sui and Xu Changke held a grand wedding ceremony. Yuan Yuan and Lu Xu Zhi were invited to be flower boys. On the wedding day, both little boys received big red envelopes.

Yuan Yuan’s little savings for buying food for the animals grew even more. Once Lu Xu Zhi learned that Yuan Yuan was responsible for buying the feed, he gave him his red envelope as well.

—And thus, their savings doubled.

After the wedding, Yan Sui and Xu Changke prepared to leave for their honeymoon. Before leaving, Yan Sui asked Yan Shiting if he could help manage his studio in the meantime.

Yan Sui had expected to be rejected. However, after thinking for just two seconds, his older brother agreed readily, “Sure.”

Yan Sui was taken aback. “Brother, really?”

Yan Shiting nodded again. “Yes.”

Finally, Yan Sui was able to relax. His studio wasn’t very big, so it wouldn’t be too much work for his brother. That’s probably why he agreed so easily.

With that, Yan Sui left for his honeymoon with Xu Changke.

On the first night after Yan Sui and Xu Changke left, Yu Li found out about the arrangement. He lay in bed, lost in thought, as he listened to Yan Shiting read a bedtime story to Yuan Yuan.

Unlike their honeymoon, which had been more of a family trip, Yan Sui and Xu Changke were going to enjoy a true couple’s getaway. After Yuan Yuan was born, except for when Lin Jiarong visited Y City, Yuan Yuan had always slept with his two dads. Lin Jiarong usually lived in the southern province, where he took care of Yu Xin, who was in high school. He only came to Y City during holidays or when he had some time off.

As a result, Yu Li and Yan Shiting didn’t get much time for themselves. Yuan Yuan wouldn’t be sleeping in his own room until he was at least three years old.

As Yu Li’s thoughts drifted, little Yuan Yuan, listening to his big daddy’s voice, slowly drifted off to sleep. Yan Shiting put down the storybook and walked to the bed, only to find Yu Li still wide awake, staring at the ceiling with his hands resting on his stomach.

Yan Shiting turned off the bedroom light and got into bed. In the darkness, he gently wrapped his arm around Yu Li’s waist and whispered, “What are you thinking about?”

Usually, when it was his turn to read to Yuan Yuan, Yu Li would either fall asleep with him or be drowsy by the time he got into bed, rolling right into his arms. But tonight, he was still wide awake.

Yu Li turned over lightly. The rustling of the blanket filled the room. Yan Shiting let out a low grunt as he grabbed Yu Li’s hand.

His voice, hoarse, asked, “What are you doing?”

Yu Li’s face grew warm, but thankfully, it was dark, so it wouldn’t show. Feeling a bit more courageous, he leaned closer to Yan Shiting and asked softly, “Brother, do you want to?”

At his words, Yan Shiting’s breath halted for a second, then became heavier. He tightened his grip on Yu Li’s hand, his fingers slowly curling before he relaxed again, his palm growing warm.

Yu Li listened to the sound of his heartbeat, unsure if it was his own or Yan Shiting’s, until he heard a restrained voice above him say, “Yuan Yuan is here.”

Yu Li had anticipated this outcome, but having mustered the rare courage to be the one initiating, Yan Shiting’s restraint made him feel a bit embarrassed. Slowly, he pulled his hand back and covered his face, muttering, “Alright.”

Not able to see Yu Li’s expression, Yan Shiting pondered for a moment and then asked, “Do you want to?”

There was a note of surprise in his voice. When it came to intimacy, Yan Shiting had always assumed that he was more interested than Yu Li. Yu Li was easily embarrassed and rarely took the initiative, but he never refused whenever Yan Shiting initiated.

So, the hint of surprise in Yan Shiting’s voice was clear.

Yu Li, of course, noticed it too.

Usually, their intimacy happened naturally after some cuddling and kissing, but perhaps it lacked a bit of passion.

Maybe it was because their relationship had started with marriage, and soon after, Yu Li had gotten pregnant and given birth. Most couples experience a gradual progression from dating to marriage, but they had skipped over those stages and went straight to the end.

Yu Li thought this over for a while, and with the cover of darkness emboldening him, he decided to be a bit braver.

Love shouldn’t lack passion, right?

He wrapped his arms around Yan Shiting’s waist and leaned in to kiss his chin.

“We have plenty of other rooms.”

Just as he had managed to calm his feelings, those words made his heart race again. After a brief internal struggle, Yan Shiting held Yu Li and led him to the bathroom outside their bedroom.

This bathroom wasn’t used much, reserved for emergencies in case the en-suite bathroom had an issue. Yan Shiting closed the door and switched on the light.

Under the bright light, his gaze seemed to burn with intensity.

Yu Li’s eyes darted around, avoiding direct eye contact. Feeling shy and tense, he raised a trembling hand and decided to turn the light off.

As the light dimmed, Yan Shiting leaned down and kissed his lips. “You want it, so let me help you.”

He paused for a moment, then sighed, “But tonight is a bit rushed.”

Yu Li, clutching his clothes, lowered his flushed face and murmured, “Yes.”

It was a bit rushed. Next time, they should plan it out properly.
