Chapter 26
Xiao Qi had been quite busy lately, and it seemed that he particularly enjoyed staying with Le Congyu. Every night after An Heng left the experimental base aboard his aircraft and returned to the residence David had arranged for him in a nearby town, Xiao Qi never followed him.
At first, An Heng found it a bit puzzling, but thinking that with Xiao Qi staying by Le Congyu's side, it also served as some form of protection, he let it go.
What really irritated An Heng, though, was that David had too many past lovers. Every day at the base, he had to follow the schedule and say nauseatingly sweet things to the Alpha individuals, and even when he returned home, he had to deal with the endless lovers who showed up at his door.
Those people never really liked David that much. Sure, David had a somewhat attractive face, but he was overly indulgent. Some Alphas didn’t care and were willing to engage with him, but Omegas couldn’t stand him at all.
Ever since An Heng, who was posing as David, had turned away a few overly forward Alphas who barged into the house with their collars wide open, trying to seduce him, his reputation among them seemed to change.
Even those who were spying on him sent subtle messages, asking if he had become... impotent.
An Heng: "..."
What could An Heng do? Left with no choice, he angrily cursed them out and continued to reject the lovers who came knocking. This only further solidified the rumor that "David" had become impotent.
Somehow, this rumor slowly spread throughout the base.
And now—
Samuel lazily raised his eyes and asked, "I heard you’ve gone... limp?"
His gaze swept over An Heng from head to toe, finally resting in a specific area. "Limp isn’t so bad," he remarked.
An Heng: "..."
He ignored Samuel, focusing on his task. First, he firmly injected the Starfall A solution into Samuel's neck, then swiftly inserted the repair serum he'd exchanged from the store into Samuel's gland. Samuel yelped in pain, and An Heng lightened his touch, feeling a bit embarrassed.
“Quite the heavy hand,” Samuel glanced at him, his eyes teasing but not angry.
An Heng replied bluntly, "Yes, I’m indeed limp."
Samuel was momentarily stunned by his honesty, then awkwardly tried to console him, "You know, being the one on the bottom isn’t too bad either."
An Heng: "?"
An Heng gave Samuel a blank look before packing his things and preparing to leave.
As he was busying himself, suddenly he heard Samuel call out a name. Lost in thought, An Heng instinctively responded before realizing that Samuel had called him by his real name, "An Heng."
Samuel looked at him quietly, waiting for a response. An Heng simply closed his case and said, "See you in three days."
Behind him, Samuel let out a low chuckle, sounding... oddly pleased.
An Heng couldn’t grasp what was going through Samuel's mind, nor did he want to delve into it. However, based on his observations over the past few days, it seemed Samuel’s secondary differentiation might happen sooner than expected.
Not wanting to linger any longer, An Heng turned and headed towards "An Heng's" room.
But halfway there, someone stopped him. Ling Shan, almost fuming, demanded, "David, what’s the meaning of this?"
"I already told you, 718's condition isn’t suitable for pacification," An Heng imitated David’s usual nonchalant gestures, spreading his hands in helplessness. "His recovery is too slow. There’s really nothing I can do."
Ling Shan clenched the tablet in her hands. This was the tenth time in a week that David had refused to loan An Heng to her, all for the sake of a bottle of high-grade healing fluid, which he then wasted on his lovers.
But thinking of Chu Shu's condition, Ling Shan finally relented. "One bottle of high-grade healing fluid."
"Deal." An Heng took the card from Ling Shan’s hand and added, "But I won’t be able to lend him to you until tonight."
Ling Shan's face darkened. "You!"
She was about to say more, but "David" had already walked off with Lys. Lys handed a new batch of medicine to "David" and took the now-empty case from his hands. "Professor David, why did you..."
"Get ready. I’m taking 718 to the treatment room."
After An Heng finished speaking, noticing that Lys was still following him, he stopped in confusion and glanced back. "What are you standing there for? Didn’t I just tell you to prepare?"
Lys snapped out of his daze and quickly nodded. "Y-Yes, right away."
He hurried off in another direction but couldn’t help turning back to glance at "David" a few more times. For some reason, recently, he found that David looked... quite attractive.
Especially those dark purple eyes.
Every time "David" looked at him, Lys felt like he was being drawn in. Those were truly a beautiful pair of eyes.
And that golden, shoulder-length hair...
Lys's breathing grew a bit heavier, but he quickly came to his senses and slapped himself twice, muttering under his breath, "Lys, are you crazy?!"
*
An Heng brought the medicine to Le Congyu’s place, and as expected, he found Xiao Qi, who had been missing for some time.
"David" only saw "An Heng" about once every three to four days. Since he was also responsible for pacifying both Alphas and Omegas, "An Heng's" body was already in poor condition and didn’t need frequent injections of the Starfall solution.
They hadn’t seen each other for about five days.
But that was only from Le Congyu's perspective. An Heng, through the base's surveillance, had seen Le Congyu many times in his room.
Just one glance, and An Heng could tell that the Omega had changed significantly in this period.
In the past, Le Congyu's gaze was filled mostly with intense love when he looked at him. But now, there was a lot more... madness, simmering beneath the surface, like a beast ready to pounce. An Heng felt that if Le Congyu weren’t currently restrained, and if he weren’t wearing David's face, the Omega might have already attacked him.
"An Heng..."
Le Congyu's voice was hoarse, and his gaze couldn’t seem to leave An Heng. Even though An Heng was wearing David’s unsightly face, because it was still *An Heng*, Le Congyu found it strangely acceptable.
"How are you feeling now? I’ll take you to the treatment room in a bit. Ling Shan has agreed," An Heng, feeling guilty, took out a handkerchief and wiped the sweat from Le Congyu's forehead.
Le Congyu simply stared at him.
After a long pause, the Omega lowered his head and, in a soft, almost pitiful voice, said, "I miss you so much. I want to hold you."
An Heng froze in place.
At that moment, he didn’t quite know how to respond.
Guilt gnawed at him.
Xiao Qi, who had been sitting nearby, suddenly spoke up: "You only have ten minutes!"
The moment Xiao Qi finished speaking, "David" collapsed to the ground, and An Heng’s soul returned to his own body, while Le Congyu’s soul was ejected.
It happened so suddenly that both of them stood there, staring blankly at each other.
Le Congyu was the first to react. He quickly raised his hand to cushion the back of An Heng’s head as he pushed him down to the ground, kissing him fiercely. His other hand gripped An Heng’s right hand tightly.
"Mmph! Mmph!!"
Their breaths intertwined. The Omega dominated every corner of the Alpha’s mouth, sucking hard on his tongue. Even when the Alpha let out a pained moan, the Omega refused to let go. Before long, they tasted blood.
Five minutes later, the Alpha relaxed his grip, no longer resisting.
The Omega, now satisfied, began to savor the experience more gently. He loved hearing the Alpha’s restrained yet pleasurable noises, which made him go even further.
But ten minutes passed quickly.
As the time ended, An Heng’s soul returned to David’s body, and Le Congyu’s soul returned to his own. Xiao Qi lay weakly off to the side, clearly exhausted but... it looked like it had thoroughly enjoyed the show!
Le Congyu looked at An Heng, reluctant to part, his eyes brimming with a pitiful longing that was almost palpable. "An Heng~"
"..."
An Heng tried to sit up, but the memory of what had just happened was too vivid. He lost his balance and fell back down, his head spinning.
His mouth wasn’t in pain.
But his body definitely was.
Looking towards where the little cat was, An Heng asked in frustration, "Xiao Qi, what are you doing?"
Xiao Qi quickly scurried behind Le Congyu.
The Omega, no longer the "weak and sad" figure he had been ten minutes ago, looked much more lively, though he still hadn’t had his fill. His eyes sparkled with excitement as he lowered his head and bit his lip, barely able to suppress his smile.
An Heng: "..."
An Heng: "You’re not depressed anymore?"
Le Congyu shyly nodded. "Mhm~"
An Heng instinctively twisted his wrist. The feeling of the Omega gripping him earlier had etched itself into his soul.
Despite his frustration, his thoughts wandered for a moment—had the Omega gotten even stronger?
To confirm this, An Heng grabbed "An Heng's" hand. Sure enough, the spot where the Omega had gripped him was already bruised.
—If this guy squeezed any harder, wouldn’t he break his bones?!
