Part 2
It took nearly ten minutes before Qin Yao moved, he quietly got off the bed.
The Alpha's body was strong and sturdy, each tightly-knit muscle seemingly containing powerful explosive force. He reached out and lifted the thin blanket on the chair, wrapping it around his hips, then went to the living room to find a wet cloth, and returned to the bedroom, Qin Yao gently sat on the edge of the bed, reaching out to turn Bai He over.
He was sleeping deeply, without any signs of waking up.
Qin Yao raised Bai He's hand, gently wiping it clean with the wet cloth.
Then he reached out and pulled the fallen quilt back up to cover Bai He.
After that, he just sat there beside him, lowering his eyes to look at Bai He's calm face, gazing for a very, very long time.
Qin Yao's gaze was very calm, but in those eyes, there were clearly many indescribable emotions.
At dawn, Bai He opened his eyes. He slept very well. He sat up and stared blankly for a while on the bed.
Suddenly becoming clear-headed, he recalled the events of last night, a wave of agitation, and he buried his head to check.
Huh?
His hands were clean, and his pants were properly worn...
Was it a dream?
Bai He was a little puzzled, just as he was pondering, his phone rang, it was the alarm clock he had set.
Without further ado, Bai He hurriedly got up to wash up, opened a can of food for Lingling, and ran back to the room to kiss the still sleeping Maine Coon: "I'm going to school, Lingling, bye."
Bai He hurriedly left, the sound of the door closing echoed. Qin Yao opened his eyes, and after a while, he transformed back into a human, still wearing the thin blanket wrapped around his waist, and went out, returning to his own home.
He collapsed on the sofa, staring blankly, unable to regain his senses for a long time.
Because he seemed to have discovered a secret, a secret that he, as a peeping voyeur, shouldn't have known.
Qin Yao felt he should die.
He raised his hand to cover his eyes, then removed it, stood up and went to the bathroom for a shower, returned to the room, got dressed, and went to school.
—
It was still a large class in the morning, Bai He didn't see Qin Yao, the large class was attended by several departments together, Bai He knew Qin Yao was in the same class as him, but Qin Yao didn't show up again this morning.
Was he still in the hospital?
Bai He's fingers on the desk twitched slightly, he couldn't help but think about last night's events, even if it was a dream, it was too real.
Bai He's face felt a little hot, he quickly shifted his attention, focusing all his attention on the class.
After the fourth class, Bai He hugged his books and followed the crowd out of the classroom.
The water and canned food he prepared for Lingling should be enough, Bai He didn't go home, he usually went home for lunch, but today was an exception. He just received a message in the office group that there would be a meeting in the afternoon as soon as he arrived at work.
He hadn't had a chance to look at the materials Feng distributed yesterday, so he had to go early to prepare.
The taxi arrived very quickly, Bai He got in the car and fastened his seatbelt, the car drove on, and he stared out the window at the receding buildings, lost in thought.
He was very busy every day, and Lingling was left alone at home for a long time. Would Lingling feel lonely?
Bai He thought about it, and suddenly had the idea to adopt another cat. After a moment, he was thinking about what Lingling was doing at home now.
His thoughts wandered, and when he snapped out of it, Bai He had already placed an order for a camera that could be placed at home.
He didn't cancel the order, feeling that buying a camera would be good, so he could see what Lingling was doing at home every day.
The car soon arrived at Jinyu, and as Bai He was waiting for the elevator, someone came over.
"It's you, Bai He."
A familiar voice, it was Nan Yu.
Bai He turned his head and met Nan Sheng's warm smile, and at the same time he noticed that Nan Sheng was holding a very large Maine Coon in his arms, black and white, a silver tabby Maine Coon, with greenish-tinged eyes.
"Mr. Nan." Bai He nodded: "Hello."
Nan Yu raised his eyebrows: "Mr. Nan?"
Bai He smiled a little, and quickly corrected: "Nan Ge."
Nan Yu was satisfied, the two got on the elevator together, Nan Yu going to the 19th floor, Bai He to the 13th floor.
As the elevator rose, Nan Yu gently stroked the Maine Coon's back, his voice soft: "Why are you coming to the company now?"
"I have some unfinished business of my own." Bai He smiled politely: "So I came early."
"A hardworking young man." Nan Yu smiled: "Have you had lunch? If not, why don't you join me upstairs for lunch?"
Bai He was about to refuse.
"You're Qin Yao's friend, and besides, I haven't thanked you for agreeing to let Lingling stay with me for a few days." Nan Yu smiled at Bai He: "The cat at home really likes Lingling, so it's only right for me to treat you to a meal as a thank you for lending Lingling to me."
Bai He no longer refused, the elevator reached the 13th floor, he got off first, and turned to Nan Yu: "I'll go put my things in the office, Nan Ge, you go up first."
"Mm." Nan Yu smiled: "Come up quickly."
Although Bai He's things were not much, it was still a bit inconvenient to carry them. He returned to the office, at this time the company was almost empty, he placed the document envelope Feng had distributed the day before on the desk, and then went to take the elevator again.
Arriving on the 19th floor, he walked towards the CEO's office, passing through several departments, all very quiet.
Reaching the CEO's office, the door was slightly ajar, Bai He raised his hand to knock, when suddenly a muffled sound came from inside, indistinct, then Nan Yu's voice came with a smile.
"Alright, no manners at all, you're a father now, how can you be more clingy than a little kid?"
Bai He heard it clearly, he hesitated a bit whether to go in at this time, just then, the sound of a push cart came from behind, he turned around and saw the CEO's secretary, Liuwen, pushing a cart over, she glanced at Bai He, raised her hand and knocked on the door: "Mr. Nan, lunch is ready."
The movement inside subsided a bit, Nan Yu called him in, and Bai He was in a daze as Liuwen had already pushed the cart in.
"Thank you for your hard work." Nan Yu thanked Liuwen, then looked up at the still dazed Bai He at the door and waved: "Come in."
Bai He obediently walked in, Liuwen left, and in the office there were only him, Nan Yu, and a Maine Coon.
...Hmm?
Where's the CEO?
